I have always had a love and appreciation for the skill of the Old Masters. As an artist I remained self-taught and avoided the larger art schools, thinking the traditional ways were lost. Upon discovering the existence of ateliers and the revival of classical realism I moved to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the Schuler School of Fine Art. There I found a passion for both the portrait and figure, and desire to represent the human form through drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Working with the model from life has affected me in a professional and personal way. I have discovered a deep love of humanity. I now believe the human form is the greatest beauty in our world. I am on a quest to discover my ideal figure. I see this as a lifelong pursuit and as the main goal in my art.
